The University of Kashmir has established Centre for Interdisciplinary Research & Innovations with the objective to attract talented and well trained overseas scientists through prestigious fellowships like Ramanujan, Ramalingamswami and  Wellcome trust-DBT India Alliance across various disciplines after due evaluation of their credentials, quality of work, field of specialization. The Centre would harbour a research ecosystem by promoting cutting-edge interdisciplinary research directed at addressing social and scientific challenges through innovative solutions to the local and regional problems. The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research & Innovations will have all the necessary basic infrastructure in place to help talented young scientists carry out research in diverse areas of Science. This Centre would in the process integrate various disciplines in the University and would serve as a model to inspire hundreds of youth to take up research as career.  This shall ensure creation of a human resource pool ready for advanced research training in any part of the world before their repatriation back home to lay a healthy foundation for BRAIN CIRCULATION.
